About - Alexis S.

Hello! My name is Alexis S. Frías. I am an Audio Engineer and Sound Designer, graduated from VFS and the ITESM.
I am from Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico.

I Like to play video games, watching films, anime; I love going to the cinema, exploring new places, cultures and gastronomy.

Why did I choose sound design? I have a soft spot for audio, and began to experiment with different approaches of creating, editing and mixing sounds, which made me develop a passion for it .

Also, I really enjoy video games – I played a game called Halo and watched the documentary “Behind the scenes: The making of Halo 2” and a small part of the documentary was about sound and it inspired me to began the journey of becoming a sound designer.

I like creating modern Sci-fi/fantasy sounds, since these are my favorite genres to watch and play, I feel very attracted to making this type of audio.

Nevertheless, I enjoy designing audio in general. I feel the challenge to achieve top-quality audio worthy of the effort that the other co-workers place into projects. I know that my passion will translate to every project I work.

My goal and dream is to work in the game industry. I want to make amazing sounds so that the player can  dive into the world,  make them feel the world is alive and transmit the emotions in a very subtle but powerful way.

I would love to someday work on a Halo game and make another person feel the same amazement that I felt when I played it.
